Terms of Use
Last updated 8 October 2026
The basics
These terms are an agreement between you and Alcaraz Technologies, which operates Campus Founders. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Code of Conduct. Joining and using the community is free; Plus, some tickets and some programmes are paid, and the price is always shown before you pay.
Campus Founders is independent. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or run by any university, college or students' union.
Your account
- One person, one account. Use your real name and keep your sign-in email secure.
- Verification tells members you're who you say you are. Only verify with an address that's yours.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Your content
- You own what you post (your profile, startup listings, suggestions). You give us permission to display it on the platform according to the visibility you choose.
- Startups from verified members go live straight away. Only add people to a startup team with their agreement; they must accept before appearing.
- Don't post anything unlawful, misleading, confidential, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Using the community
- Connections are for genuine professional networking. No spam, unsolicited sales or recruitment campaigns, and no scraping or exporting member data.
- Opportunities and partner information are shared for convenience. Check details with the organisation before applying; we're not responsible for third-party offers.
- Event places are limited. If you can't attend, cancel so someone on the waitlist can go.
Payments
- Payments are taken by Alcaraz Technologies and processed by Stripe. We never see your card details. Prices are in euro and include any VAT that applies.
- Receipts come by email from Stripe. You can see and cancel your subscription and update your card from your Plus page.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while and you keep access in the meantime; if it still fails, the subscription ends.
Paid event tickets
- Most events are free. Some flagship events have a ticket price, which is shown before you pay; verified students and Plus members may pay less.
- You get a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before the event starts, or if we cancel the event. Refunds go back to your card automatically and can take a few days to appear.
- Paid events have no waitlist: if tickets sell out, they're sold out.
Plus membership
- Plus is an optional paid membership open to anyone with an account. It adds extras: asking podcast guests questions, early registration for limited events, Plus event and programme prices, the recordings archive, mentor office hours and pitch reviews (once a term each), roundtable priority and partner perks. Events, the directory, matching, connections, opportunities, resources and the podcast stay free.
- There is a student price and a professional price. The student price is for verified students (and recent graduates, for the academic year after they graduate); everyone else pays the professional price. Founding members who joined at the founding price keep it while they renew without a break.
- Plus Access: verified students who find the price a barrier can ask us for a free place until the end of the academic year (31 August). No proof is needed.
- Early registration opens to Plus members a few hours before everyone else and is capped at half of an event's places, so there are always places for everyone.
- Mentors, guests and partners give their time and perks voluntarily; office hours, reviews and perks depend on their availability, and partners set their own perk terms.
- Plus renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Plus page and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Within 14 days of your first payment you can ask for a full refund, whether or not you've used Plus. Write to the contact address below.
- If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Guests answer voluntarily. Each Q&A says how many questions the guest aims to answer; we can't guarantee an answer to every question. Answers are the guest's own experience and opinions, not legal, financial or professional advice.
- We review questions before guests see them and may decline questions that break the Code of Conduct. If we end your Plus membership for a serious breach, we refund the unused part of your period.
Featured listings for companies
- Companies can pay to feature a role or programme on the opportunities board for 30 days. The price is shown before you pay and Stripe sends an invoice.
- Every listing is reviewed by our team before it's published. If we don't publish it, we refund you in full.
- Listings must be genuine roles or programmes relevant to students. We don't accept misleading listings or ones that charge candidates a fee.
- We report how many members opened the application link, never who.
Programmes
- Programmes (bootcamps, accelerators, challenges) are open to anyone with an account. Some choose participants from the applications; others offer places first come, first served. Applying doesn't guarantee a place.
- Some programmes have a price, shown before you apply and confirmed when you're offered a place. Verified students and Plus members may pay less. You only pay once you're offered a place, and places are confirmed in order of payment.
- You get a full refund if you withdraw at least 7 days before the first day, or if we cancel the programme. After that there's no refund, because your place can't be offered to someone else.
- Mentors give their time voluntarily and share their own experience, not professional advice. Feedback on deliverables depends on their availability.
- Completing a programme earns the Programme graduate badge.
Talent pool and partner accounts
- Joining the talent pool is optional and you can pause it or leave it at any time. Partners see only the profile you write plus your name, photo, course, institution, graduation year, skills and LinkedIn link.
- A partner can ask to contact you. Your email is shared with that organisation only if you accept. Declining is final for 90 days.
- Partner accounts are given by our team to people at organisations with a partnership agreement. Partners must use the talent pool only to offer genuine roles, programmes or opportunities, must not copy or export members' data, and must not contact members outside the platform unless the member accepted. Breaking these rules ends the partner's access.
- We aren't party to any job offer and don't check employers beyond the partnership agreement. Check offers carefully.
Moderation
Our team may edit or remove content, and suspend or remove accounts, that break these terms or the Code of Conduct. Where possible we'll explain why and give you a chance to respond.
Liability
We work hard to keep Campus Founders available and secure but can't guarantee it will always be error-free. Events, mentoring and content are provided for learning and networking; they aren't legal, financial or investment advice. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law, including the right to a refund where the law gives one.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, without affecting your rights as a consumer in your own country.
Campus Founders is operated by Alcaraz Technologies, Dublin, Ireland.
